About Dr. McGowanDr. McGowan graduated with a B.A. in psychology with Honors from Northwestern University. She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Boston Consortium in Clinical Psychology where she was a Teaching Fellow in Psychiatry at Boston University School of Medicine and a Clinical Fellow in Psychology within the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the UCSD/San Diego VA Postdoctoral Residency Program in the Anxiety and Behavioral Sleep Medicine specialization track. After her fellowship, Dr. McGowan joined the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare system as a psychologist and researcher.
Dr. McGowan is a member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and the Association for Contextual Behavioral Science. |
