Welcome

Everyone deserves to lead a fulfilling life. However, life is not without its setbacks, emotional turmoil, and struggle. At times it feels as though these experiences keep you from being the person you want to be. Sometimes the problems we deal with can feel overwhelming. I am an experienced clinician with a Ph.D. in clinical psychology who is devoted to helping people improve the quality of their lives. With warmth and support, together we can identify issues you want to address and make meaningful changes in your life. The hardest part to making this change is the first call (or email)- it can be difficult and it can also be empowering. I look forward to working with you!

What I Do

I work with adults and adolescents in individual and group therapy. I provide evidence-based treatments and specialize in Behavioral Sleep Medicine, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I also incorporate skills from other evidenced-based treatments including mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy. In addition to my private practice, I provide lectures and workshops on sleep and how to improve sleep for organizations and within the community.

Evidenced-Based Treatment

Why evidenced-based treatments? Treatments are considered ‘evidence-based’ after they have undergone rigorous tests that show that they work. Typically, evidence-based treatments provide individuals with tools that have been shown to improve quality of life or decrease problematic or undesirable symptoms. These treatments are not designed to go on forever. I see my role as teaching you various tools that you can use to lead a valued and productive life.
